Position Summary

Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.

The Parliamentary Dining Room is seeking two efficient, dependable and service oriented individuals for the auxiliary as-and-when position of Server/Kiosk Attendant.

Reporting to the General Manager, Parliamentary Dining Room, the Server/Kiosk Attendant is responsible for providing food and beverage service to guests, as well as hosting and cashier duties ensuring guests are welcomed and fine dining standards are met. As a member of the food services team, this position will also provide service in other settings within the Legislative Buildings including the Ned DeBack Lounge, meeting rooms, and primarily the Parliamentary Grab n' Go (PGNG) Kiosk.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a hotel, restaurant or private club facility, a FOODSAFE Level 1 Certificate and Serving it Right Certificate.
