​SPECIAL COMMITTEE TO REVIEW THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AND PROTECTION OF PRIVACY ACT

The all-party Special Committee to Review the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act is undertaking a comprehensive review of the Act. The Act provides British Columbians with access rights to records of public bodies and privacy protection. A special committee of the Legislative Assembly must conduct a statutory review of the Act every six years.

British Columbians may contribute to the Special Committee’s review by attending a public hearing or by making a written submission.

The Special Committee is holding a video-conference public hearing in Prince George on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Prince George Business Development Corporation, 1566-7th Avenue.
