VICTORIA –The all-party Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services has launched the public consultations on the next provincial budget. The consultations are based on the Budget 2015 Consultation Paper released by the Minister of Finance.

This year’s budget consultations include public hearings in 17 communities throughout the province, and video-conference sessions covering an additional three locations. The committee is also inviting written submissions, audio or video files, and responses to an online survey.

“We look forward to hearing British Columbians’ budget priorities as we travel the province over the coming weeks,” said committee chair Dan Ashton. “Individuals and organizations can participate by attending a public hearing, making a written, audio, or video submission, or completing a short online survey,” added deputy chair Carole James.
