Parliamentary Procedure Workshop
This workshop is intended to provide B.C. Public Servants with a greater understanding of the Parliamentary system of government in British Columbia.
Presentations provide an overview of history of Parliament, parliamentary procedure, the legislative and budgetary process, and Cabinet decision-making (topics may change depending on the availability of the presenters).
The next sessions for 2024 are expected to be offered in the fall.

Session Length
Full-day sessions are held at the Legislative Assembly and run from approximately 8:45 am to 4:00 pm.
How to Register
If you would like to put your name on the waitlist, please register here.
Everyone on the waitlist will receive notification once dates for future sessions are confirmed. The email will provide a link to register for those dates. Due to overwhelming demand, not everyone on the waitlist will be able to register for a session.
There is a maximum of 60 participants at each session.
Your name will remain on the waitlist until you are able to attend a session.
Please Note
Sessions are offered approximately 7 - 8 times per year. The frequency of this workshop is based on the availability of our presenters and the schedule of the Legislative Assembly.
The Legislative Assembly offers this workshop to public servants free of charge. The Legislative Assembly does not cover the cost of transportation.
