Kelly was elected as the MLA for Richmond-Steveston in 2020. She serves as the Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries and Aquaculture to the Minister of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship.
Previously, Kelly was elected to Richmond City Council in 2018. On council she worked to preserve Richmond's farmland and protect the local environment. Kelly co-founded an advocacy group to keep Richmond's public schools open, funded, and safe, and was successful in achieving those goals.
She has also worked for multinational banking and accounting firms, as well as leading small businesses in Richmond.
Kelly grew up in Steveston and now lives in the area with her family.
