Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia
(Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic
institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice,
administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous
employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government
ministries and agencies.
The Capital Planning and Development branch is seeking a professional,
organized and experienced individual interested in becoming a Project
Reporting to the Manager, Capital Planning and Development, the
Project Coordinator is responsible for the life cycle management of a variety
of medium to large scale projects focused on the long term asset maintenance
rehabilitation, value analysis, upgrades, heritage restoration, new
construction, environmental remediation, renovations and redevelopment of the
BC Legislative Precinct.

Applicants must have a post-secondary education in a related
field (i.e. business, commerce, procurement and contract management, risk
management or law) plus a minimum of three years relevant experience.
Other qualifications include experience in independently
coordinating projects or leading a component (sub-project) of a major project,
knowledge of contract law, trade agreements, and public procurement policy,
practices and issues, and proven problem-solving, organizational, communication
and leadership skills.
