Position Summary

Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.

The Parliamentary Dining Room is seeking an experienced, service excellence-focused, and collaborative individual for the regular full-time position of General Manager, Parliamentary Dining Room.

Reporting to the Executive Financial Officer (EFO), the General Manager, Parliamentary Dining Room is responsible for managing all food production and related operations and services of the Parliamentary Dining Room; managing and coordinating all adjunct services including catering and concessionary food services; and ensuring high quality food services for MLAs, staff and visitors to the Legislative Assembly are established and consistently maintained. Qualifications

Applicants must have completed post-secondary education from an accredited institution in Food Services Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality Business Administration or related field and a minimum of five years' experience in a large food service operation with staffing, budget and financial management responsibilities. Private club experience is preferred and FOODSAFE and Serving it Right certifications are required.
