Position Summary

Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support, and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.

Human Resource Operations is seeking two organized, detail-oriented, and motivated individuals for the position of Payroll and Benefits Coordinator. There is one regular full-time position and one auxiliary part-time position available. Reporting to the Payroll and Benefits Manager, the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator is responsible for providing pay and benefits administration services for MLAs, their constituency and Caucus staff, and Legislative Assembly employees, while keeping up established service standards. A focus on client service and excellent use of judgment is key to providing effective payroll and benefits services.

Qualifications

Applicants must have post-secondary education in business administration, accounting, public administration, or a related discipline, combined with a minimum of three years related work experience. Please refer to the position description for a full list of duties and qualifications.
