Position Summary

​Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.

The Hansard Services department is seeking an innovative, collaborative, and dedicated individual for the regular full-time position of Publishing Systems Architect.

Reporting to the Manager, Publishing Systems, the Publishing Systems Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Hansard Services technical systems improvement initiatives. As well as leading the development, implementation and maintenance of Publishing Systems technical architecture policy, procedures and standards.

Qualifications

​Applicants must have:

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized educational institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of related and progressive experience in the IT field, including experience with Project Management, DevOps, and software development.
  • Experience leading projects.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

  • M365 Developer Certification, Microsoft Azure Developer Certification, Agile Certification, TOGAF Certification, preferred.
