Committees are comprised of small groups of Private Members who have been appointed by the Legislative Assembly. British Columbians were invited to participate by speaking at one of 14 public hearings, by making a written, audio or video submission, or by completing an online survey.</p><p>Committee Members thank all individuals and organizations who took the time to share their ideas and priorities. The Committee will review all input and issue a report with recommendations by November 15, 2018.</p>

British Columbians will have the opportunity to share their ideas for the next provincial budget by speaking at a public hearing; making a written, audio or video submission; or completing an online survey.</p><p>Public hearings will be held in the following communities:</p><p>Dawson Creek (September 17)<br>Prince George and Smithers (September 18)<br>Masset (September 19)<br>Campbell River (September 20)<br>Vancouver (September 24)<br>Cranbrook and Trail (September 25)<br>Nelson and Kamloops (September 26)<br>Kelowna (September 27)<br>Esquimalt (October 9)<br>Mission (October 10)<br>Surrey (October 11)</p><p>Online registration for public hearings opens <strong>Friday, September 7</strong> at <strong>9:00 a.m.</strong> British Columbians can request teleconference opportunities by calling the Parliamentary Committees Office at 250-356-2933 (or toll-free in BC: 1-877-428-8337) on <strong>September 7</strong> at <strong>9:00 a.m.</strong> Open mic opportunities will also be available at each public hearing.</p><p>The opportunity to make a written, audio, or video submission or to complete the online survey will be available on <strong>Monday, September 17</strong> following the release of the budget consultation paper by the Minister of Finance. The deadline for all public input is <strong>Monday, October 15 </strong>at<strong> 5:00 p.m</strong>. </p>
