Select Standing Committee on Health

Welcome

The Select Standing Committee on Health is one of nine permanent all-party committees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. The Committee is working to identify potential strategies to maintain a sustainable health care system for British Columbians, as outlined in the Committee's Terms of Reference.

As part of its work to continue to identify strategies for maintaining the sustainability and quality of B.C.'s health care system, the Committee undertook a public consultation process from June 7 to July 29, 2016, including public hearings in communities around the province. The consultation focused on gathering information on rural health care, interdisciplinary teams and addiction recovery programs.

The Committee will submit a report to the Legislative Assembly on the results of its consultation in the coming months.
