The Select Standing Committee on Agriculture, Fish and Food is one of ten permanent all-party committees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. The Committee is responsible for examining matters concerning agriculture, fish and food in British Columbia, and will initially examine, inquire into and make recommendations concerning local meat production in BC, based on the
discussion paper released by the Minister of Agriculture on April 24, 2018.
In support of this, the Committee has launched a public consultation process, including holding a number of public hearings throughout British Columbia. The Committee’s consultation portal has now opened to allow those interested to register to present at a public hearing, make a written, audio or video submission, or complete an online survey. The consultation will close on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. and the Committee will release their report on or before October 1, 2018.
Further information on the work of the Committee, is included in its
